The Western Wall, also known as the Wailing Wall, is the west part of the supporting wall which, at the second temple period, surrounded the temple mount, the holiest place for the Jewish people. The wall, constructed by Herod the great, is 20 meters high. Over half the wall, including its 17 layers are located below ground level, the remaining layers were added from the 7th century onwards. |

· Al-Aqsa Mosque & The Dome of the Rock Located in the Old City’s Muslim Quarter, this is the third holiest shrine to Muslims (after the Kaaba in Mecca and the Tomb of the Prophet in Medina). It signifies the spot where the Prophet Muhammad is believed to have stopped during his “night journey”, on his way to the seven heavens, on his white horse, Al-Buraq El Sharif. The prophet stopped to pray on the Rock and was given the commandment to pray five times a day. |

· The Via Dolorosa
The Via Dolorosa is the route which Christ took bearing the cross . Jesus was crucified in Jerusalem, on April 7, 30 A.D. In memory of Jesus, Christian pilgrims from all over the world travel the Via Dolorosa from Antonia, Pontius Pilate's seat of government, to the basilica of the Holy Sepulcher, built on Golgotha, the "Hill of the Skull".

Christian religions. The mountain is located in the east of

· David's Citadel (Tower of David)
David's Tower is an ancient citadel built in the second century BC, destroyed and rebuilt by Christian, Muslim, Mamluk and Ottoman conquerors.
It contains archeological findings
and the history of
Jerusalem
is displayed all around the tower. |

· Ein Kerem
Ein Kerem is a beautiful neighborhood in the south-west of Jerusalem.
Lovely streets and small stone houses create a magical atmosphere. |
